Training Programmes and Payments

All programmes and personal training sessions purchased must be used within 6 months of purchase and are non-refundable. Due to Covid Pandemic, 6 month period will commence from when restrictions are lifted when sessions can take place indoors.

Cancellation of Personal Training and Online Coaching Programmes

The client shall provide a 48-hour cancellation of the scheduled training session. Failure to provide 48 hours' notice shall result in the client being charged the full rate of the cancelled/missed training session. Maricarmenfitness will endeavour to also provide the Client 48-hour notice of any scheduled Training Session that may need to be cancelled; however, there may be instances where this is not possible.

Programme Objectives              

The client understands that the physical fitness program is individually tailored to meet the goals and objectives agreed upon by Maricarmenfitness and the client. In Online Group Training classes, clients understand that the physical fitness program is designed to accommodate multiple individuals with varying goals and fitness levels.

Description Of The Exercise Programme

The client understands that their exercise program will involve participation in several types of fitness activities. These activities will vary depending upon the objectives that Maricarmenfitness and the client establish. But will probably include: 1) aerobic activities including, but not limited to, the use of cardiovascular machines and HIIT training; 2) muscular endurance and strength building exercises including, but not limited to, the use of free weights, callisthenics, and exercise apparatus; 3) other activities selected by Maricarmenfitness and client agree upon at the time, and 4) selected physical fitness and body composition tests.

Description Of The Potential Risks                              

The client understands that no exercise program is without inherent risks regardless of the care taken by Maricarmenfitness and that the client’s personal safety cannot be guaranteed by Maricarmenfitness. The client understands that when participating in any exercises, particularly those that induce cardiovascular stress, there is a slight chance of serious injury (e.g., heart attack, stroke, or other cardiovascular accidents) or catastrophic incident (e.g., death, paralysis). Likewise, the Client understands that engaging in muscular endurance, strength building, and other fitness activities sometimes result in minor injuries (e.g., bruises, musculoskeletal strains, and sprains), less frequent, more serious injuries (e.g., muscle tears, herniated disks, torn rotator cuffs), and rarely, catastrophic injury (e.g., death, paralysis).

Description Of The Potential Benefits

The client understands that a regular exercise program has been shown to have definite benefits to general health and well-being. The client understands that some of the benefits can include loss of weight, reduction of body fat, improvement of blood lipids, lowering of blood pressure, improvement of cardiovascular function, reduction in the risk of heart disease, improved strength and muscular endurance, and improved posture, and improved flexibility. 

Client Responsibilities

Client understands that it is their responsibility to 1) fully disclose any health issues or medications that are relevant to participation in a strenuous exercise program; 2) cease exercise and report promptly any unusual feelings (e.g., chest discomfort, nausea, difficulty breathing, apparent injury) during the exercise program; and 3) clear their participation with their physician if needed. Post Natal clients must have had their 6-week check from GP.

Participant Acknowledgements                                

In agreeing to the exercise program:

  • The client acknowledges that their participation is completely voluntary

  • The client understands the potential physical risks involved in the exercise program and believes that the potential benefits outweigh those risks.

  • The client gives consent to certain physical touching that may be necessary to ensure proper technique and body alignment.

  • The client understands that the achievement of health or fitness goals cannot be guaranteed.

  • Clients have had a voice in planning and approving the activities selected for their exercise program.

  • Clients have been able to ask questions regarding any concerns they might have and have had those questions answered to their satisfaction.

  • The client is in good physical condition, has no impairment which might prevent their participation in such activities, and has been advised to consult with a physician prior to beginning this program.

  • The client has been advised to cease activity immediately if they experience unusual discomfort and feel the need to stop.
